Tomorrow’s Township Committee meeting includes three ordinances scheduled for public hearings and consideration for final passage.

Ordinance 09-26-20 — Data Centers
Would prohibit data centers in all Cranbury zoning districts. Ordinary server rooms or computer systems incidental to another permitted business would not be included.
Ordinance 09-26-21 — Detention Facilities
Would prohibit detention, correctional, incarceration and other carceral facilities in all zoning districts, including civil and immigration detention facilities. Temporary detention at Cranbury’s municipal police station would be excluded.
Ordinance 09-26-22 — Municipal Alliance Committee
Would repeal Chapter 26 and dissolve the Cranbury Municipal Alliance Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse effective December 31, 2026. The ordinance states that the Committee no longer serves its original purpose.
The Municipal Alliance meeting scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on October 13 has been cancelled.
Residents will have an opportunity to comment before the Township Committee considers the ordinances for final passage. Copies of the ordinances are available through the Township Clerk’s Office and on the Cranbury Township website.
